Stacey Hayward Accounting is committed to handling personal information fairly, lawfully and securely. For data-protection purposes, Stacey Hayward Accounting is the data controller for the information described below.
The website enquiry form does not store or transmit your information through a website database. It prepares an email in your own email application for you to review and send.
Information collected
Information you choose to provide may include your name, contact details, business name and the contents of your enquiry. If you become a client, further identity, business, financial and tax information may be needed under the agreed engagement and applicable legal duties. Basic technical information may also be processed by the hosting provider to deliver and secure the website.
How information is used
Information may be used to respond to enquiries, take steps at your request before entering a contract, provide agreed services, keep appropriate records, meet legal or regulatory obligations, protect the practice and improve administrative processes.
Lawful bases
Depending on the context, processing may be necessary for steps before or performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, or legitimate interests such as responding to enquiries, administering the practice and protecting information. Consent will be used where the law requires it and may be withdrawn where applicable.
Sharing information
Information is not sold. It may be shared only where necessary with trusted service providers, professional advisers, regulators, government bodies or other recipients required by law. Providers are expected to protect information and use it only for the relevant purpose.
International processing
Some email, hosting or technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, appropriate safeguards required by UK data-protection law will be relied upon.
Retention and security
Information is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected and to meet legal, professional or regulatory duties. Initial enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are normally reviewed and deleted when no longer needed. Client and accounting records may need to be retained for up to six years or longer where the law or a professional requirement applies. Reasonable organisational and technical measures are used to protect information.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase information; restrict or object to processing; receive certain information in a portable format; and withdraw consent. Rights are not absolute and legal record-keeping duties may still apply. Contact Stacey using the details below to make a request.
